Hi!
A few months ago I bought a Marea Weekend and after a while it started leaking "fluid" .. first i thought the radiator sprung a leak, but it turned out to be the wiper water tank (pheew). A/The previous owner or garage tried to fix it with some sort of black gunk to seal the leak (it looks like car industry glue), but it came loose apparently... it's all around the valve of the tank so i can't really see if it's the valve that needs replacing or the whole tank... I'm guessing it's going to have to be the whole tank because some of the fixing points are also broken or fixed in place with zip-ties (gawd!)...
BUT...
I tried to take it out.. In my head I could hear those smug Italian engineers laughing at my futile attempt, so put it back and came here. I read here it's a real pain in the *bleep* to replace one... I had hoped I'd be able to remove it "just like that" ..but how wrong was I????...
Does anybody have instructions on how to remove the side body panel of a marea? Or (please please PLE-ASE) let there be a method so that I don't have to do that?
I did manage to find what appears to be a complete technical manual for the Marea on this site, but haven't been able to locate the water tank in it.
(slow site, HEAVY pdf's and also has manuals for different model Fiats!!!) :
w_w_w.fiat-bg.c_o_m/Downloads/Books/
and
w_w_w.fiat-bg.c_o_m/Downloads/Software/
(sorry, it's my first post, not allowed to use URL's yet)
any suggestions / solutions / etc. are VERY welcome!
Cheers,
David
