I own a mobility 2008 1.9 multi jet which is reluctant to start but then runs well. It has less than 20,000 on the clock.
Last September it completed a 600 mile round trip with no issues. so far I have changed the battery to a heavy duty one, glow plugs and cleaned the earth strap from engine to chassis, with no improvement. It makes no difference if it is hot or cold. I am getting a new earth strap fitted next week but don't think that'll make any difference. From what i have read , I think the crank shaft speed sensor sounds a favourite though surprised it would fail at such a low mileage. Anyone have any thoughts on this issue. The van is in excellent condition
I am also changing the rear leaf springs (Midland springs Birmingham) to give better ride height as i find it grounds out on large speed bumps. £220 inc postage.
