General Raspy Exhaust Backbox

Hey

just a quick question to ask if anyone knows of any good exhaust systems/ backboxes which are nice and have a raspy sound because i hate quiet exhausts

Get a custom stainless steel one made up

if you want it very loud get it from the flexi back and have center box removed if your car has one

IF you have a centre box because your a 16v or your local fitters are retarded (like mine)

Then you can stick a 8v centre pipe on instead, this will change the note/volume - but only a little bit

I've read cherry bombs aren't as loud as they originally were? plus are the legal/MOT compliant?

Yep its legal. Be warned though that, its not stainless and will eventually rust. and you will have to weld your own hanger brackets on the box.

if you want a raspy exhaust get a Ashley Exhaust they sound lovely on a mk2..Did on mine anyway :')

I'm with them. there fine with Mods. they will just make you aware that they will not cover the costs of the modifications if in an accident. (pritty sure this is the case with all insurers) you have to tell them or they may not cover you.

be careful how you 'word' your mods to them.

for example

'hello, I've added an induction kit to my car'

what you want to say is;

I've upgraded the air filter.

another.

I've lowered my car

what you want to say is;

I've made suspension changes below/more than 5cm.

basically don't use 'boyracer' terms.
