They probably mean facelift models? Like the punto mk2 and mk2b
Look totally different front and back but same chassis/ parts and all

He'll mean they are interchangable between them I reckon

Sorry - should have qualified that.

I meant the Croma 1, Lancia Thema & Saab 9000.
i.e. a Croma door will fit on a Saab 9000 & vice versa

Was this unique? or are there others?

I thought I'd double check on here as I didn't think it was possible.

House doors aren't interchangeable either. You nick your neighbours door and they aren't gonna let you stick it on your house.

Chroma 1 and Saab 9000 had basically the same bodyshell (and maybe engines). Not quite as bad as the Galaxy/Sharan/Alhambra but more in common than the Grande Punto/Corsa

Pro drifters often just tie on their bumpers with cableties, thats why when it all goes wrong the bumpers seem to fall off. Good thinking for track use as it does less damage to the shell but for road use..... :nono:
