Technical Punto GT Timing Belt

Hi Guys,

Quick question - My GT is going in to Fiat next Monday to have the timing belt done, is it belt and water pump or just belt and tensioner?

Hi Craig, i got the timing belt kit from fiat and it comes with the tensioner an bolts , it’s a bit more expensive but you know it’s quality and fit ok , the water pump doesn’t run from the timing belt so shouldn’t need to disturb it . I had a new alternator belt done at the same time [emoji1303]

Well he’s in for his timing belt and a few other little bits today.

I hate the though of him being in someone else’s hands at the moment hahaha (sad I know) trust issues over here

Haha yes,

I know the one fitter there has been with them for years and years, and when they done my inner Gearbox seal he was saying OMG I thought I had finished working on these 10/12 years ago haha.

All good thanks mate.

Timing belt all fine, new O/S driveshaft as the outer CV was making a noise so fitted a complete new D/shaft and new N/S hand brake cable.

Now he back to 100% haha
