General problems changing gear

Every now and again I had been having problems gettin my punto into gear. on my way home today it became a nightmare and the only way i can change gear now is if i use all my strength and really shove it into the correct gear. is this a gear or clutch problem?

Sounds like clutch doesn't disengage fully. Could be problem with clutch hydraulics, either leaking or has air in them.

is it easy to pull out of gear... but the difficult to put into gear if so it is probably the clutch!

yes it comes out of gear fine just cant get it back in.

it is probably the clutch then... look at the message DJ posted, thats what the problem probly is!
