Technical Problem punto

Ive got a v reg punto had a new sump pan and gasket fitted today got it home and theres a line of fluid all down the road it's not oil or fuel it's smells abit like a detergent stopped leaking now but it's sprayed all over engine

Not really got a smell looks abit like water on the road

Taste it. If it's sacharine sweet, it's coolant.

It don't taste sweet it's like a oily fluid but not oil if you know what mean but it marked all the road

Odd.

Tomorrow check coolant and brake/clutch fluid levels as well as oil level.

Logically, it can only be coolant, brake fluid, oil, transmission oil, or washer fluid, but the first two are more likely.
