General power steering

hi all i have a punto 60sx witch im going to putting a replacment engine the one im buying is from the same car but has power steering
now i have a power steering rack from a sporting and pipe ect what i wanna know is when i fit the engine is it just a case of putting the steering rack and pipe work in would it workl ok

i believe the suspension for the Non PS is different to the PS version

But i dont think you can easily swap from non PS to PS

If the Sporting has the pump power steering it shoulkd be OK (never tried it, don't like power steering).

You should, ideally, turn the top mounts round to change the camber.

i would go for it
cant imagine why the top mounts should be messed with mind but willing to be learned
just make sure you put the right pulley on the alternator etc for the belt

The engine I'm getting is complete with everything and yes the rack came from a sporting with a pump was a mk1 16v

It's just the way they were. On the Mk1s you can just rotate the existing top mounts (cunning production engineering), while on the Centos you have to fit a different top mount.
