Hi guys please forgive me for starting a new thread, but I think this is a new problem. I have just replaced 2 injectors on my Bravo MJ 2.0 165 and coded them using Multiecu scan.

The injectors were replaced with new copper seals, and the engine starts OK. The power seems down on the car and it feels resticeted in ssome way.

No error codes but MPG stuck at 40 which is part of the reason they were changes (following a leak off test).

Any suggestions ?

You can try to initialize control unit or injectors using adjustments on MES
What was the main reason for replacing them ?

Hi thanks for the input, The reason for replacing was that power seemed down and ecconomy poor and I was advised to get the injectors checked and 2 had different leak off than the others. The assumption being that the ones with less fuel in the return side of the common rail were putting the fuel somewhere (ie combustion).

I set them up with the BOSCH adjustment alphanumeric code.

Never had check engine lights.

Main other problem i have is flickering in dash and all electrical items when cold and accelerating.

Spoked about this.

For flickering you need to check the voltage on battery when engine is idle.
No less than 13.8 volts with hard electrical consumers functioning.
If less the you must check the alternator.

Thanks for the info!

I reset the injectors and checked all the codes are correct. No joy.
how long does it take to recallibrate to the new ones ?
mike

OK so checked the voltage under load and doesnt drop below 13.9v.

ALso after 100 miles and reset setting on Multiecuscan, the ecconomy and power still down.....

answers on a postcard ?

Hi Thanks for the suggestions:

New Lambda sensor done

MAP Sensor cleaned out and seems to show MAP pressures rising as revs increase... any ideas what I should see as normal on Multiecu ?

MAF sensor removed and cleaned with MAF Spray and refitted. Also ran with it unplugged and no difference ......

Regards
Mike

This my 1.6 mjet readings running at idle.
If I use 5th and 6th gears and no more speed than 120 Km/hour on long run I obtain 4.8 - 5 litres at 100 Km.

Hi thansk for the input and information about the normal values.

I cant spot any problems with the above....

and so the search continues.

Mike

Maybe.....maybe not!

So... I am on nights tonight and in a moment of madness decided to spend the afternoon taking off dpf and pressure washing it.

I noticed 2 things when putting the dpf back on:-

1. I found the dpf and front section gasket leaking (which might account for the smell).

2. There is a black rubber hose about 15 cm in length and 5 mm internal diameter that had 2 splits. Which were maximal as the pipe bends leading me to think this has perished over time.

Does anyone know what that hose goes to ? And where I might get a replacement.

As an aside note although no dpf light on car revs Much freer and feels less choked !

The leaking gasket can foolish the lambda sensor.
There are two pressure sensor at the start and end side of the dpf.
They go on the relative pressure sensor located near the the ecu.
What is your vin number = zfa....
I can look into eper.

Thanks for all the help mate!

I will get the vin in the morning (too dark now).

I will order a new DPF-Exhaust gasket off the ebay

Best regards and pleasant evening
Mike
