Yeah me too, no fines, no points, not even been stopped by police lol but ive only been driving 3 years in a couple of months
what do you do if you cant afford road tax? mrs daves has gone up loads and she only got a 1.2 punto
I speed on motorways but theres never usually any small children or elderley women crossing from behind a tree. Dont speed on any other road tho. im on the fence with this article... ill keep an eye on this thread

yea the punto's road tax has gone up and up and up
it was £120 - and now its was 135 - wouldnt suprise me if it was 140 this yea

how will she get to work? she goes to work at 7am first bus is 8am and it goes 7 miles the other way before she can swap to a bus that goes the right way

Sure? According to parkers the 16v's are 165
But the 1.2 8v are still about £120

People seem to forget driving is a privilege, not a right. She made a choice to take that job, knowing that she would have to drive as she couldn't get the bus, therefore, she'll have to pay to road tax. Either that, or get a cheaper car to road tax.

over the Allocated speed limits dependant on area?
So say in a 30 - the 10% is 33
Some area allow +2mph so from 36 - £10 37-£20? you mean?
I think they should not hit drivers hard when slightly over like - 35 in a 30 - £60
But doing say 40 in a 30 - £75
41+ in a 30 = £100

I think baseing Road Duty on Co2 output is a farce. Look at some of the harmful crap other than Co2 that comes out a lot of dirty diesels? Yet they emit low Co2 and as a result are low tax.
