Grande Punto Possibly the coolest learner car around!

Introduction

Here's a few pictures of my new Grande Punto.

I'm a driving instructor and the car is used as the tool of my trade as well as my personal transport.
Nice car :D Good luck with the alloys they are lovely. I like the seats.

My girlfriend is an instructor, her current car is a year and a half old and never curbed the alloy wheels. Though a examiner let someone smash a wheel into a curb once, it destroyed the tyre wall. new trye was needed.

The roof board she has is magnetic (two big rubbery magnetic pads.) I was worried it would damage the paint but its fine. I regularly clean the undersides of the pads and started using an old bit of clay on them to take out sneaky bits of grit.

Mancland matey, but only do it to keep my hand in. Which reminds me, I've got to pay the new Sherrif of Nottingham his outrageous tax in the next few weeks.
Thats always a gutting time of year.(n)

Nice car i'd love to have learned in a grande. I learned in a corsa d 1.2 and it was hateful then my instructor left bsm and got a fabia tdi which was brilliant (especially when you got used to the turbo) he had alloys on this and and the only one which got curbed was the front passengerside. Although he recconed this was only due to two pupils.

Awwww liking those seats! I bet it pulls you in a fair bit of business?

I would say thats cheap as chips for dual controls!

LOL Custard!

Can't remember what I learnt in

Nice motor Paul!

I'm from Slough too, did you get your car from Thames?

I learnt to drive in a white Mk.2 VW Golf 'driver' - that had a body kit and other bits to make it look like a GTi (y)

Will give you a wave if I see you, only if you're not teaching someone, of course :)

Hi Paul,I have been teaching for nearly 3 years (since June 06) in this,in and around Oldham and Manchester.

Looks like a great car, would have loved to have learn't in one.

I learn't in a Ford KA...which was quite funny as I'm 6ft3, getting in and out , was fine until he got a newer model and my knee would get stuck on the stearing wheel and couldn't get any clutch control lol.

I learnt in a 1.8 Diesel Ford Focus and it only had the sign ontop and learner plates, I'd hate to learn in a car cluttered in self advertising

My instructer just had two 'L' plates, one at the front and one at the back. Had dual control as well.

I now live on Firwood Park, jetstar, I'm not teaching at the moment as I have a broken ankle that 5 weeks ago I had 2 plates and 8 screws put into so I'm recovering but I am starting to get about, driving,so you may see me,john

Lol I saw you in Maidenhead going past the police station about a month ago
