ive just fitted a new cd player/radio to marea, but signal on radio poor. could any 1 tell me if marea's have poor signals as dont want to take player back if dont need 2. thanks all.

check the aerial is plugged in behind the stereo, it can get knocked off during fitting. rusting of the aerial on the roof is not uncommon and causes poor reception.

:yeahthat: I have had to replace the roof aerials on both the Tempra and the Marea, in both cases when they were not very old. (1 or 2 years). In this case tho its more likely to be a re-assembly fault, easily done behind the dash.

yeah, changed the goodmans for a sony and is better but not perfect, but will do. wouldnt store the stations though so took it back for another sony, but was same. something to do with wires not matching. thanks

try an aerial booster, they plug into the original aerial and then into the back of radio, they take a +12v live from either the remote switch on wire(pin 7 in the power ISO) or just use the switched live with a 3A fuse in line. That will cure the problem, bout £13 from Halfords.
