ok guys,
I have a punto 75 sx (95 reg lol).
I had a terrible smell of petrol every time the car was running, read on here that could be the fuel filter, it was badly corroded so I replaced that....
5 min's down the road, the car died and fuel was leaking out everywhere, somehow the lil' plastic pipe off the fuel pump (under back seat) had snapped. I replaced the fuel pump...
later on in the weak the smell was back...it was now leaking from the pipe from the pump to the filter...so I then replaced that section of the pipe.
now today the same thing has happened again, the pipe I have just replaced has a huge hole in it and is firing fuel out every where and car wont start (obviously!!!!) :bang:
My mate reckons there has got to be a blockage somewhere, which is causing the pressure to burst in various places.... problem is where is the blockage???? when i have replaced the broken odds and ends, the car has been starting and running fine, so i'm assuming it is somewhere on the return?? any pointers would be really helpful !!!!
