Some lower model Panda's do it also.
As there a fix for it?

Goodyear Eagle F1s I had 2 sets on the front of mine
God awful tyre imo. I know they are classed as a summer tyre but my God in the winter they make you feel like there is an accident waiting to happen
I replaced mine with Toyo Proxies TR1 iirc, in 195/50 size.
Now on Bridgestones, again in 195/50, on the front not sure on the model but they are touring tyres and are very good The Toyos on the rear are still there and still in good shape
They are not winter tyres that is why, you clearly know nothing about the chemical make up of tyres. I take it you know they are not meant to be run when the avg temperature drops below 7°? The same with all "summer tyre's" if it concerns you that much then I hope you bought a set of cold weather tyre's!
I think Dave's point is that the level of grip drops off not just a lot, but considerably more than expected and I would agree with him. I reckon my Elise on summer tyres is better in the winter months than the Panda was on F1's. Other brands of summer tyres on the Panda have been much better in low temperatures. Having said that, if a set of steel wheels and winter tyres were readilly available I would make the change.
