Hi, posted this in the newbie forum but I think I should have posted here, sorry!

I found this forum in my desperate search for answers about how to pair my phone to the stereo in my Fullback.

Bizarrely I had successfully paired my last phone but I got a new one last week and can’t for the life of me remember how to or figure it out!

I went into settings and ‘pairing’, which then asks me to input a 4 digit code I do not have. The same happens when I try to pair via the Speech function. The phone Bluetooth will not pick up the car Bluetooth, presumably because of the missing code.

The strange thing is that I don’t think I ever had the code - I don’t think I needed it the last time.

Would anyone be able to help me out? Is there a way to get the code? Or alternatively to pair the phone without it?

Thanks.

On the Bravo and I think Panda there is a setting in the trip computer via buttons on the steering wheel one of the menu entries is delete users so you can rid yourself of the old phone. The car comes up with a code when pairing is initiated, ditto the phone all I had to do was accept them.

Thanks for the reply. That’s how I (vaguely) remember it from last time, a message popped up, I accepted it, done.

No such thing seems to be happening now. The only place in settings that I can choose is pairing, which brings up the keyboard to enter a code. The phone doesn’t find the Bluetooth for the car (only this car, it finds plenty of other ones and also paired with our van with no problems) and that’s where I’m stuck. Consulted the manual, which suggested the Speech function, but that also won’t work without the code (it’s apparently locked).

Does anyone know any other way? Is there a way of retrieving the 4 digit code? I don’t have it, not sure I ever did.

I would disconnect the car battery for 30 mins and see if the functions are reactivated. May be also do a Radio reset as well Try the button that is the phone menu mine looks like a sheet of writing, or rectangle with lines across. I can scroll through Phonebook Messages Pairing Delete Users etc on that.

Post was fine in Newbies they move across once you have a response but posting in your vehicel typre will get infront of more drivers of the smae type.

PS Make sure you have the bluetooth on on your phone turned on, and consider restarting the phone as well. I have wasted a lot of time when its got swtiched off.
