General My 2003 Silver Punto

After selling my seicento as I wanted a bigger car for uni I ended up with a 2003 silver punto I have owned the car for a few mounts now and I think its a keeper good MPG and awesome for my 600 mile round trip from uni to home and back to uni.

After a woman bumping into my lovely punto in the snow I decided it was time to replace some parts but after looking all over the internet the price to repair the damage was over £120 I took a look for some thing a little bit different and picked up a cat c punto from a beakers yard near my parents house for £230 the punto was a cat C and had a head gasket problems this made it an ideal car to take some body work off. After taking the bits I was in need off I also took the headlights and the bonnet and all the bits that where any good and stored them in my shed so I was chuffed with the way the car turned out.

the next job is some alloys/lowered/side skirts ect......

Driving over a pothole today on my way to sainsburys, I did the weekly shop for my parents and when walking back to my car noticed I had a flat tyre. Driving over to sainsbury petrol station to fill it up with air and to inspect any damage I notice that they had closed the air pump box thing, so I headed to a local tyre fitters to see what they could do after looking at the tyre they found that the inside wall had split so I had to replace the whole tyre not impressed as I only replace all the tyre's two weeks before:bang: seems like I am paying my road tax for nothing............


so using the punto at my parents house over Christmas in the muddy countryside its starting to look a little dirty and tired so the plan for tomorrow is to give the car a full clean and get some pictures of it looking smart on here before I do my 300 mile drive back to uni in 4 days time

Fix the HG punto engine and sell it

it'd be stupidly easy todo with it on the floor

The sad thing about it is that the car was in good condition but I am only at my parents house for a few days before I go back of to uni so it had to go because it would be in their way for 5months so I took what I needed and sold it on

Just went outside and got some more coal for the fire and could not resist taking a snowy photo but they are not good I wanted to get back inside

I know I did stupidly well finding it. I asked for just the parts I needed but at the scrap yard only wanted to sell it as a whole car.

Yeah u did really well for £230, second hand parts resprayed would be more than that!!

£150 so it cost £80 overall and got extras i was not planing on

my old lights looked tired that's sorted now
took the tool kit out the boot now I have two. All the wheel trims....
had a wing, door, bonnet and speakers 2nd boot mat I also took a few little bits like plastic interior trim, clips,bolts and screws ect....

the best bit was i found a brand new bonnet pulley cable

Tell you what £80 for all that, you did more than very well good buissness sense lol

Gave the car a good clean today with plenty of wax and trim shine also cleaned up the engine bay and checked all my levels for my 300 mile drive on Wednesday
