Keeping a white 500x clean in this weather is a bit of a nightmare! Are there official mudguards available?

Whilst mud & dirt etc. is unsighlty etc. one also has to be careful with fitting mudguards.

The reason I say this is that many require self tapping screws or other clamps that can/do damage paint, underseal and metalwork.

Generally one can only safely fit guards to rear wheels as these attach to the plastic bumper material and not to the metal wheel arches like on the front.

With regards to rear guards then damage can be done to the bumper when reversing against high kerbs where the guard is pushed back into the wheel.

You get them for the US version of the 500x as a genuine accesory.
I had the rears on my 500x when I had it years ago and they go straight on.

The fronts are universal ones which fitted well because they bent around the plastic trim.

I thought I'd seen them mentioned for the US market but when I looked on the official FCA accessories website for the 500X they were not listed.

How are your universal ones mounted to the front?

They were just black self tappers. Thinking back on it now, they may have screwed into the black arch moulding.

I can’t remember sorry, i sold the car back in 2018 for a new abarth 595
No problem. Thanks for your participation.

Not sure what age you are (please don't respond) but "I can't remember" aflicts both young but more so old people so no shame/worry.

Now where was I ???? :)
