my car passed it's mot today, but when I got in the car i noticed an emissions test report on the seat. Now don't laugh but becasue i have never got any of my cars mot'd b4 (got rid before they were due) but I was just wondering what the legal limits are for these tests if anyone knew? It passed so i guess thats the main thing, but I would just like to know it passed with flying colours, or if it just scraped through it. cheers in advance

All depends on what Fiat to have :)

At idle

Engine speed: Min 450rpm, max 1500rpm
CO level: 0.30%

Fast Idle: min 2500rpm, max 3000rpm
CO 0.20%
HC 200ppm
Lambda: min 0.97, max 1.03

These are the limits on my car, 1995 Cinq Sporting with a cat.

it should say on ur emissions printout the fail limits though.

oh right gd point sorry mate. It's an 03 mk2 8v. sorry never thought of that

are you allowed more if its a decat or somthing?

No, the limits stay unchanged. You can pass the emissions with a decat, but its unlikely IMO.
