Bought a rear arm for the Punto, and it doesn't look like the one on the car. Guy in the shop says they are all the same. The one on the rear of the car has two mounting points for the caliper carrier. Is there a bracket that comes off as well. I was working in semi-darkness last night so didn't notice. The new arm only has two bolt holes at the hub end. Cheers.

Indeed there is a backing bracket, which is different depending on whether you have discs or drums. You need to remove this from your old arm, which is secured by just two bolts, which locate into the two holes you see on your new arm.

Thanks for that guys. I'l just strip down the original disc-braked arm and put everything on the new arm, including the dust plate. I read on some of the threads that you can get away with using the existing handbrake cables that operate the drum brakes?
