General MK1 Electric problem!

Hi Guys,

I have a mk1 1.2 16v sporting and i have a grounding problem i think.

When i apply the break my fuel needle goes down, Also the interior lights/clocks ( Most lights/leds ) also dim and the fog light buttons etc come on when i apply the break. Also when i switch my lights on the fuel needle goes down and the clock dims and when i turn on my rear window demister the fuel needle completely drops. Also when i have my lights on and use the rear wiper the wiper doesn't do anything but then cuts of the clock...... Any help please????

Sounds like a Definate Ground Issue

I'd be looking at doing all the Earthing Points over the car

Remove - Clean/De Rust - Grease up - Refit

As it sounds like its earthing via any point it can - but cant

Additional earths are never a bad thing.
