Since the beginning of winter my car has been making a funny noise.
From a cold start, if the engine is reved to just over 2k and allow to run back to idle there is noise which i can probably best describe as sounding like noisey brakes! A fairly low resonance sound which sounds like a dodgy bearing? After a few seconds the noise goes but will start again when it's revved, or sometimes persist until the engine is warm. It only really happens < 2k revs though, and is intermittent. i.e. i started it from cold at garage, heard noise, stopped engine and called mechanic over, started again and no noise! :bang:
Also have just noticed that the air intake now sounds like a gurgling drain pipe, not sure if it should sound like this.
Dealer says they can't find anything mechanically wrong but dont know how hard they looked!
Engine is the Mjet 150, any thoughts? :worship:
