(edit: sorry for double post i forgot the attachments here they are)
greetings,
im from the qubo/fiorino forum cross posting because not getting much response there. this is a software question so it shouldnt matter.
my engine is a 2013 1.3MJ diesel with the dualogic auto tranny.
i just bought a registered version of MES software, and bought an ELM 327 cable from UK that had the "resistor mod" done to it.
i do NOT HAVE the yellow cable. i was under the impression that with the "resistor mod" done there was no need for the yellow cable but now i think im wrong about that because many modules are asking for it. i can successfully connect to the engine itself, but all others are asking for the yellow cable.
questions:
1) what does the yellow cable actually do? read a diff channel? why is it needed with the resistor-modified ELM 327 cable?
2) when i scan for my dualogic tranny, it finds it OK but when i connect, i get the "wrong ISO code" error, "do you want to continue"? when i say YES, it seems like im into the system because i can see stuff and have the opportunity to "execute" operation with actuators. however, MES the manual says, if you get this error, dont try doing anything because the the results may be off.
i also tried DL'ing the free fiat scan program but it looks like it was written by the same guy (same program looks), and, i also get same "wrong ISO code" error, "do you want to continue"? error.

any ideas here?
