General Material roof maintenance

Hi all,

Never had a material roof before and wondered if there is anything I can do to maintain it, similar to leathers having creams to keep it supple etc.

Any advice would be appreciated

Plenty about....I use a water repellent spray and a cream cleaner/supple feeder from merquires at halfords.

I have an old Panda Colour. In a few places the black vinyl is cracked and the thread has come out so from the inside you can see a bit of daylignt. It never leaks in because I rub Vaseline (ooerr Mrs!) into the holes where the thread was, and coat it all with a thin layer of Autoglym bumper care.
