Hi peeps
I have a 2001 Weekend with a couple of problems on the tailgate, its been like it for over a year now and the wifes getting fed up of having to climb over the back seat every time we go shopping, yes its a lock problem..... However I think theres a bit more to mine!
1) My external handle is stuck in the up possition, I can pull it back but the handle does nothing when pushed, its as though the boot is locked, then it sticks in the up position, a can of WD40 didn't free it up either!
2) the Key just spins in the lock and does nothing, for a while it would unlock the boot only but now.... Nothing!
3) My central locking solonoid, when activated jumps to unlocked then back to locked (pushed out then pulls back in) thus staying locked, I can open the boot from inside but as I said the wife moans about having to climb over the back seat every time!
BTW I can recomend Momentum 99 fuel in the 1.6, mine runs like a dream on it and I have noticed an increase in the milage I get and there seems to be a little more power too...... Just ask the teenager I blew past in his 206 HDI off a rounabout the other night:devil:
