Hi all,
The sump on this car is very heavily pockmarked with rust, which I want to prevent deteriorating further.
My approach is to wire brush to remove all loose rust, then paint strip back to bare metal.
Then apply a zinc chromate primer then paint with heat resistant paint. Now I am undecided. Would it be ok to apply something like tetrosyl as a stone/chip protection or would the heat of the sump oil cause it to dry out and crack.
Any comments or better suggestions would be appreciated
