Hi all,
Can anyone recommend a turbo supplier. My search so far has been fruitless, especially as it's BH weekend:bang: Car is a Marea 2.4TD 125 HLX, not JTD. As thread suggests, turbo has fallen apart, quite literally
The nut holding the compressor turbine on has fallen off and was rattling around in the compressor housing, consequently, all the turbine blades are damaged. I managed to refit it but it still makes loads of noise and the compressor turbine keeps locking up and then frees itself again. Time for a new turbo, can't take the risk of it falling apart anymore and wrecking the engine. According to the manual, it's an IHI VL6 turbo.
Bloody typical, I changed the oil on it last night and filled it up with diesel, damn waste of money that was
