Knowing a lot of FF'ers are running their cars on a shoestring budget, I hope this will be of benefit to you.

I had a quote for £499 to replace the un-insured windscreen on my daughters 1.2 Ibiza Chill 02 plate

Now that sort of cost would possibly put a few of your cars on the Write-off list, so I contacted a guy called Tony from www.niwa.co.uk, he quoted £160 all in. (y)

I haven't had the job done yet, but when its done I'll update on the whole experience of the job to be done at my home address at a time to suit me.

could you not get windscreen cover on your daughters insurance?

I will at renewal time custard, it was an oversight and not covered so I thought others on the Forum may be in a similar state.

All our other 3 cars are windscreen covered Comprehensive, hers is £550 3rd party. :(
