They tend to get pressure in the tank when drinking to much fuel.

I now have exactly the same problem as this - did you ever solve it?
Turned out to be a faulty thermostat not allowing my engine to heat up in time. Then the ecu was confused as to why the engine was not heating up so it was dumping all sorts of air fuel ratios into the engine causing poor performance. Replacing the thermostat solved the problem. Are you getting any error codes?
