few weeks ago I received my LED from ebay. instaled them and what do you think? Error on the dash board I tried to put them in the parking light up front, but the same problem. I wrote the guy and he refunded 50% of the price, because the light work. So know I'm thinking should I try other kind of bulbs with build in resistors or not. i would like to change all old bulbs in the car with LED.
Today i got 4 error free bulbs, tried installing one and checked if i have error on the dashboard. Everything was fine, installed second one ( both to front parking lights) and dashboard start showing error, until i have one regular bulb in, there is no error. So it means that the bulbs do not have enough resistance. Tried installing all 4 ( front parking and licence plates) still error.
I am thinking to buy some made resistors and add them to the wiring, would they help? because I do not want to buy other LED and risk to get the same error again, just waist of money.
Soooooo... I am still fighting with error free bulbs yesterday I got from other seller a pair of bulbs, he said they fit my GP. tried to instal and instantly they start blinking ( the lights in the car are off) then I put one simple and one error free light, no blinking but an error on the dash board. Put both still an error and blinking when off. So I added resistors and then they work without errors or blinking. Bottom solution. Buy cheaper LED without error free function , and just add resistors that you can buy online.
I had problems with the error free ledbulbs above the licenseplate, burning bad in a few weeks, tried several different sources, but they all went out in a short time, I was almost going back to normal bulbs, but than discovered led bulbs with a heatsink, and they do the trick, lasting much longer...
