i need to change the radiator on my 1.6 16v 53 plate stilo, looks a bit of a nightmare, has anyone changed one before? are they as awkward as they look? cheerz.
Disconnect the radiator hoses from the radiator. They're held on with quick release clips. Then jack the car up high enough for the radiator to come out and fit axle stands. Remove the engine undertray (if fitted) then undo the screws holding the plastic radiator support. The radiator should lower with the support.

The rad quick disconnects aren't very quick at all and need some leverage behind them. Be prepared for corroded away fasteners to the lower hatch cover. Get at least 4 10mm bolts ready as many of the originals to the lower hatch will be corroded away
You only need to unfasten and drop down the most rearward cover and so leave the air con condensor (if you have one) alone

I've not personally had a bad experience with it, but when you look at the nitty gritty of how it works its nasty stuff.
Someone said to me it'd be easier for me to add it to my system, then I reminded them that I've got a £1200 LPG system on the car and am not putting that stuff through vaporisor
