General just bought a 500 - where's my parcel shelf!

carefully checked the car before buying but it took a visit to my parents for my mother to proclaim 'you can see what's in the boot!'
namely because, whatever parcel shelf was there, isn't any longer.
I've emailed the dealer in the (faint) hope that it was removed for valeting but failing that, can anyone inform me of the part number to order?
can't see any obvious hooks to attach it to either so hopefully they come with it.

Did you buy new, or used?

If the former, I'd expect the selling dealer to provide a replacement.

If the latter, have a look on ebay - they turn up quite regularly. Here's one being listed just now for a reasonable price.

Unlike many designs, the 500 parcel shelf can cope with the hatch being slammed shut with the shelf raised, so they're not damaged as often as those in some other cars.

A new car should come with what you optimistically call a parcel shelf.
Dealer should easily be able to give you one from another vehicle without you ordering a part- it's called customer service.
