General interior smell

hi, bought marea last week. but inside very plastic smell, worse when window open(wasnt sure if it was fumes). anyone else have same problem? it stinks,lol.

You have a smell which is worse when the window is open?

If it's not in the air around you then have a sniff around the car.

yes, worse with window open, but around car outside dont smell. dont understand it. any ideas?

having the window open will circulate air in the cabin so it can make a smell from inside appear to smell stronger. the smell of melting plastic is never a good thing, it suggests a short circuit somewhere, it could cause a fire or major electrical fault.

Are you sure it's not had a new windscreen fitted as the adhesive can give off a 'new-ish car' smell.
