A while ago i seen a guide with various home made tools. I thought there's some good ideas there. Has anyone got good ideas how to remove Ducato injectors?
if you unscrew the top (with electrical connection) have you destroyed any calibration or the like and cant reuse it ( how is it removed?). what thread is it on top to add a shaft to make a slide hammer. Or what cheap commercial extractors have people used for any Fiat but my specific need is Ducato 2.3 euro6 2017. I presume you do not even try the angled fuel thread. If that fails do we then revert to pneumatic stuff or long tyre levers and releasing fluid.

I have removed Bosch diesel injectors on Ford Focus, Fiat Grande Punto 1.3 Multijet etc. using a slide hammer kit, however the adaptor fits by removing the top nut /solenoid body, using window type sockets similar to when removing a Lambda sensor.
The problem I had wasn't calibration as long as you are careful with shim position etc. But the tiny ceramic ball valve that sits below the pin in the centre becoming dislodged.
This is only on the older solenoid type , if yours are "piezo" I have no knowledge, but those older ones I was able to strip , ultrasonically clean and fit new pintles and seals etc. plus also do a basic spray pattern test using an old style "pop off" type injector tester and a 24 volt starter pack to just "splash" a jolt of electricity enough to open the solenoid. When proved OK I was able to reassemble them without calibration and they complied with MOT standards. I am a bit too old and eyesight not so good for that these days though. I used to get parts from Darwen Diesels.
Going back to the extracting, I would say lots of releasing oil and a decent extractor rather than tyre levers and "violence";).
I have resorted to soaking in engine cleaner and a really hot steam cleaner pressure washer on some.
This is a cheap extractor, but I don't know if it works on your age of injectors.
