On my Bravo my rear pipes needed changing before I could put an MOT on it, not a problem my cars got ABS so no rear compensator to mess about with. Anyhow they recalled the MK1 Punto because the pipes were corroding on top of the fuel tank and in some cases would burst under braking conditions. As they could not be inspected on MOT (not able to be seen) the tank had to be lowered and if corroded then replaced and treated with Gardarol as part of the recall the Bravo/A pipes that corrode ARE visable. Oh and trust me use that Gardarol on brake pipes they will never go again i've done all mine on my Bravo and many cars not had any back yet
