I have a v reg 1.2 16 valve sporting that has some major wiring issues with the dash , but also she is a non starter at the moment , Now i have 12volts going to the center wire of the three pin plug on the coil does anyone know what the other two should be reading ( nothing at the moment ) or do they only give a voltage when the engine is running ?
It was running a few days ago but since then i have fitted a new gearbox and as i say the fusebox wiring has major issues ( cut wires ) and most of the instrument panel doesnt work . i have been working on that but it didnt work when the engine was running and the work i have done on the fusebox i have now put back to how it was .
Also i know its not the BC or the ECU as i have tried it with a new one fitted with the same results . fuel is pumping and the code light goes out on the dash so as far as i can tell its not immobilized .
Any help ideas gratefully received as my knowledge of electrics is limited to say the least
