Posted this in the ice section but didn't get any response, any help?

Okay so i need someone to sort me out. i dont understand electrics and ICE at all
basically im not even that interested in sound quality i just want a nice looking clean boot build and some heavy bass!

i want a JL Audio Amp Monoblock A1200 and one JL audio sub in the back.
but after that im under a tight budget. i dont really want to get rid of the stock headunit would i be able to wire the parts i want up to the stock grande punto headunit?
and is it VITAL to get new door speakers or will the stock ones hold out?

need a quick reply! first person with decent answers can be my friend ;) (NO HOMO)

wiring up to the stock headunit is quite easy mate, i was the same as you and i hated aftermarket headunits ( even though i have one now :s ) .. there was a spare sub loom behind my right arch for where a stock sub can attach to. basically you have to wire in a high frequency to RCA connection, there is also a 12v output which you could use for remote for the amp :) .. i did have stock speakers in (upgrading now ) but tbh there okay! much better than my previous car so i was happy, if ur not that fussed there fine, but a nice sub in the back makes it all sound better lol..

first mate, check if you do have the sub loom in your boot, you can do this by pulling the right side of your boot seal away, two phillips screws and one black plug right up at the top, then pull back the boot liner and there should be a loom there with nothing plugged in with a white block connector there, if thats there your all good!.. you need to be a sub and amp obviously and one of these!..

Thanks mate your a legend. Only doing it to play with a boot build ;)

is it not cheaper to but a sub out of a box then one in a box just to rip apart?

ive got a fli 12 inch sub out of my old car. sounds awesome and i believe they are only about 60 quid ish.

it's your friend

A proper made custom, tuned enclosure will blow any pre made out of the water

it is possible to wire the amp to the stock head unit but its not ideal.

front speakers will hold out but ideally you wanner get some aftermarkets in there

also for the boot sound deadening will really help
