Im changing the coolant on my car tomorrow(1.1 cinq).Changing the thermostat and rocker cover gasket whilst im at it so i might aswell check the valve clearances(shes a little tappy) whilst ive got the cover off. What tool do i need and how do i do it?

Thanks.

set of feeler blades.. the measure the distance between the cam and the top of the followe/tappet when the valve is closed.

the specs are
  • inlet 0.40 +/-0.05mm
  • Exhaust 0.50 +/- 0.05mm
mind you its not easily ajustable like rocker arms

that link sends me to the ebay homepage but from the name of the link i would say yes.. if the clearences are beyond tolerence then in theroy yeah it should be reshimmed.

Ill get that ordered then, not sure what the followers look like but ill get my haynes from home and find what it is im looking for.
