Technical Hood mechanism flap fix

Hi all,

Today's bodge fix is the little flap that covers the gas strut and mechanism on the hood. The little claws had broken off and it kept dropping off.

So, with the aid of a tiny drill, 2 panel pins and some Araldite job's a good'un. You can't see any of the fix once it's on the car either:

Well done Pete, These flaps are a nightmare and always breaking..

I have replaced mine twice with new and refuse to buy any more, the last one that broke i also went for the diy fix too...

Think its still working fine..

A decent repair can be made with 2 little plastic tubes at either end.
Henk from barchetta parts showed me a finished one

i don't have those at all... actually have one broken that Robot send me.

Mine don't break they just disappear, still they do not actually do anything apart from cover up the hole.
