Small update,
The shim fix is still working; soon enough i will remove the brake pump to see what is underneath.
So after ~500 euros of parts (second hand ABS pump if it where to be new the price would have been much bigger) and labor, at Fiat and other "specialists" I fixed it with a 3 cent shim !
This whole experience has again convinced me that if you want something you have to do it yourself.
