Technical hicking..of the teapot

My 1995 1.6ie SX started hicking a few months ago and I cannot find the problem, here's what's been done at the garage:

- New fuelfilter
- New sparkplugs and leads
- Fuel-additive (Wynns)
- TDC-sensor replaced (scrapyard-model)

It's not likely to be electrical, it's irregular at intevals, whether the engine is cold or warm, the road and weather conditions and an empty or full tank.

Does anyone ever had this problem, or where must I seek?

i stuck some of that red x down and it ran a treat after.

i didnt replace anything just bought that £5 or £6 and it was fine.
