Tuning Hgt remap

Hi all, can an early hgt be remapped?
I've searched a lot to find out and found as many yes as no's.

I know that the 1.9 can be i had mine done about a month ago took it to 150 bhp with s bmc induction kit

There is absolutely no point in remapping a non turbo engine. You will gain nothing apart from a lighter wallet.

Itll gain very little extra
Youd need to spend alot on it tbh
I believe the 1.8 can be turbo'd but im not 100% on this

As sbrook333 said, the 1.9 mjt can be mapped and with very good results. The 1.8 can't, the best people to speak to are those over in the barchetta section

If you go on a website called celtic tuning and put your car model in and engine size it will tell you if it can be renapped and how much gain you should be getting

There is no point, even if some firm did do a remap, it would simply be a con job.
Absolute waste on a non turbo engine.
