Technical Handbrake Mystery Solved

Sorry, came across this thread swhen I was doing a search & it seemed to be the best one describing the differences. I figured I'd just confirm that I've got the same thing, as I thought from the pic that it looks like there should be an adjuster on my cable & there isn't.

Hmm may be someone can explain to me this, a bit confused :D

Does the length actually matter for the handbrake cable ??As it can be adjusted by 2 nuts ??

I thought, u losen the 2 nuts, handbrake up 3 clicks , then just tighten the 2 nuts, then the handbrake will be solid. Well mine was solid after that and don't see the length comes into the equation.

Thanks :D

Length comes into it, IIRC, because the rest of the handbrake assembly (all the stuff that connects to the lever) is different length depending on which car. There are only two things to remember: if the adjuster has a pulley on the end you want a Cinq cable, if it has a peice of pressed steel more or less in the shape of a semi circle, you want a Sei one (even if the car is a late Cinq).
