Styling Grande Punto Lowering Question

No this is not my car but a neighbour has one, hes had it a few months and has just put some 17" wheels on instead of the boring looking 14" that came with it

Ive just seen him and said next job should be lowering

If any one on here has a Grande Punto (GP) on 17s and lowered please upload a side picture of it and quote your drop and I'll introduce him to the forum

I am thinking of lowering mine too - an '09 Grande Punto 1.4 8v on stock suspension and 15-inch wheels now.

Please tell what are the benefits of shorter coilovers/ride height to car's ride and handling?

Personally, I'd prefer the steering to be more precise and connected, linear and quicker.
