I went to put an air filter on my car but asyou can see from the photo, there was this wire, does anyone know what it does and if i can leave it unattatched and put this air filter on my car?

this looks like breather hose, you sure you got all pluged in the air filter housing?

"Wire" are you sure? Looks like the breather hose as said above.

Does the breather wire need to be attatched?, i put this on but got scared it needed to be attatched so put the normal one back on?

fyi this is the worst place to install the filter. The air is very hot there! Use an extension hose or put the old box back in.
