Hi Bag - Welcome to the forum!
I agree with afroking's earlier post - this price probably doesn't include the water pump.
The part itself costs around £55-60 or thereabouts, plus whatever the garage charges for labour. It's probably cheaper to get it done at the same time as the variator and cam belt change, given that the engine will have to be taken to bits anyway to replace the cam belt etc.
Regarding garages, Walkers Garage (Lancia specialists) in South Otterington, near Northallerton, have done two annual services for me (no repairs needed yet - touch wood!). They aren't exactly round the corner from you, but closer to Sheffield than DTR. Ask for Steve Shaw.

I live over in Ecclesfield, work in Broomhill and am over your side of town fairly regularly.
In terms of servicing in Sheffield theres really only the GK main dealer and the only independant Fiat guy I know of is Richard at Riverside Motors in Loxley 0114 2345412 who did a lot of work on my classic Panda but I don't know his knowledge of B's but it would be worth speakign to him.
