my girlfriend went to move my car last night, she shouted me and said the clutch pedal was staying at the floor.

I went and inspected it and the pedal was moving freely but wasn't returning to the top. After a quick look found that the spring had snapped.

Got a mate to get me a spring and he fitted it today but now there is another problem. There is no pressure at all in the pedal!!!!:( it goes down and returns to position.

What could be the problem??

any help please

any ideas if theres no fluid there.

any ideas if theres no fluid there.

Check the footwell for brake fluid or the pipes around the engine bay.

99.9% sure it will be the slave cylinder. It's an easy fix, cost about £30 for a new slave cylinder. Can be done with a basic set of tools. Make sure you take your time bleeding the system or you won't get anywhere.

How easy a fix you ask? Do two 12 hour day shifts, then two 12 hour nightshifts, then on the morning of you finishing the nightshift head out to tool up and begin the fix in a car park in gale force winds.....
