Well done so far mate I'm sure it'll go back fine.

Personally I prefer to spend the extra time disconnecting the exhaust and o/s driveshaft, especially if you're working on your own.
Removing the exhaust at the manifold flange allows you to get more tilt on the engine.

And gives the ideal opportunity to shear off the stupid sodding studs on the exhaust manifold which haven't been undone since New Labour stormed to power....:bang:

I did think that as I was writing it Andrew.

Finally finished this off now and managed to get the gearbox back on. Painted it first to make it look pretty. I was doing it on my own so I used a complex system of leavers and straps from above. Not sure I'd want to do it again but was slightly pleased with myself.



Took on a long run 200 miles plus all seems good now so happy, next the suspension and brakes.
