needed to sort out some play in the mareas front supension,
ordered the 2 x rubber mounts,
removed the wishbone.. only to discover the balljoint ( fixed component) also has play:bang:
so - ordered a very reasonably priced one from a Tipo - "Web trawl" reckoned it would fit.. well almost
they look virtually identical( as apparently the subframe IS the same)
the balljoint is @ 10mm nearer the engine ( shorter)
so if installed in hub you can't get the bush in past the driveshaft
not convinced the "pin" on the balljoint is the same size / diameter either.
ho-hum,
so looks like it's a trip to the breakers after all
hopefully a 1.2 petrol Brava will have given the joints an easier time of things - the balljoint is the fussy bit- as I can replace the rubber bushes if necessary
