General Front seat upgrade.

Hi, I’ve just bought an 04 Panda as a cheap run around while my mx5 is off the road. The drivers seat has collapsed at the base so I’m thinking if I have to replace it anyway are there any common upgrades from another model like a Punto or a 500 or something? Looking for something that’ll bolt straight in. Thanks in advance.

You’d probably be best just finding a replacement seat from another Panda of the same shape. These 03-2012 models can have it swapped with the 500 but I’m not sure if there is a bit of work needed to modify them or if it’s a straight swap.

Yes, you have to modify the mounts

Thanks guys. I’ve since had a look at 500 seats and to be honest they don’t look like they’d be worth the hassle. Seen a £100 bracket that would allow me to borrow the Sparco buckets from my other car but I can’t justify that
Guess I’ll go for a stock replacement. Thanks again.

If its any help, the seat bases are identical, so you can easily swap the passenger one for the worn out drivers seat.
Also helps to know when looking for secondhand ones.
(You can also swap the backs side-to-side, but it's quite a bit more work)

The only seat that's a straight swap is the Panda 169

Anything else needs modifying

As per @irc the bases are seperate and are swappable, left to right
