Hi All,

I am new to the forum, hope I am posting my question correctly.

Make - Fiat
Model - Uno
Series - Fire
Engine - 1.1 original no mods.

Question: I would like to know what is the correct timing for flywheel and ignition.

I have set my timing to TDC - 0 on flywheel and on the first slit on timing cover towards the front of car.

The distributor has been filled so I could set the idle and get car to start one shot.

Problem: car has no power in number 1 and 2 like beinh held back and very heavy on fuel.

In traffic heats to half way then fan kicks in brings temp down to above quater. The car always sat under quater till I fitted new korean off market distributor.

The motor has been completely done up aswell.

Last question; shoild the distributor get so hot that you cant even tuch it?

Thanks

Hi, and welcome to FF, :)

the Distributor doesn't sound correct to me...,shouldn't get HOT

afraid I don't understand your #1 + 2 comments..

say Hi in the mk2 ( classic panda) section..as they have the same basic engine as you..!!, (y)
once you've made 5 posts you can post a pic of the distributor..(so we know what we are discussing;) )

good luck
Charlie
